Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Westborough, Massachusetts. In this role, you will handle critical financial tasks such as month-end closings, general ledger management, and detailed account reconciliations. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while advancing your career.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Oversee general ledger operations, maintaining records and resolving discrepancies.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial tracking.</p><p>• Conduct thorough account and bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.</p><p>• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational planning.</p><p>• Handle fixed asset accounting, including tracking and reporting.</p><p>• Support both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.</p><p>• Contribute to financial reporting, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.</p><p>• Participate in process improvements and ad hoc financial initiatives to enhance efficiency.</p>
• Proven experience with month-end close procedures and general ledger management.<br>• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes.<br>• Familiarity with bank reconciliation practices and financial reporting standards.<br>• Ability to manage fixed asset accounting and assist in budgeting and forecasting.<br>• Experience supporting audits, both internal and external.<br>• Proficiency in identifying and implementing process improvements.<br>• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.<br>• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams.
