Legal Assistant/ Secretary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our team in Wellington, Florida. This Contract to permanent position requires someone who is organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks within a legal environment. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in personal injury pre-litigation and demonstrate strong communication skills.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain and manage attorney calendars to ensure appointments, deadlines, and meetings are accurately scheduled.<br>• Assist in handling personal injury pre-litigation processes, including gathering and organizing necessary information.<br>• Request, review, and organize medical records and other relevant documentation.<br>• Communicate effectively with insurance providers to follow up on claims and inquiries.<br>• Scan, file, and organize documents to ensure proper record-keeping and easy retrieval.<br>• Coordinate and prepare files for legal proceedings, ensuring all required materials are complete and accessible.<br>• Provide general administrative support to attorneys, including drafting correspondence and managing client communications.<br>• Ensure files are updated and organized to facilitate efficient case management.<br>• Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.<br>• Collaborate with team members to support the overall legal workflow and operations.
• At least 1 year of experience in a legal assistant or secretary role.<br>• Knowledge of personal injury law and pre-litigation processes is strongly preferred.<br>• Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling tools.<br>• Ability to organize files and documents with a high degree of accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with handling medical records and insurance-related tasks.<br>• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and insurance providers.<br>• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all legal matters.
