Legal Assistant/ Secretary
We are looking for a motivated Legal Assistant/Secretary to join our team in Wellington, Florida. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone with a background in personal injury pre-litigation and strong organizational skills. The role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in a meticulous legal environment while contributing to essential daily operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain and manage attorneys' calendars to organize appointments, deadlines, and court dates.<br>• Handle pre-litigation tasks related to personal injury cases, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and filed.<br>• Gather and review medical records to support case preparation and client representation.<br>• Communicate effectively with insurance providers to address claims and resolve issues.<br>• Scan, organize, and maintain legal files for easy access and retrieval.<br>• Coordinate with clients and other parties to facilitate smooth case progression.<br>• Ensure all documents are accurately filed and updated within the firm's system.<br>• Support attorneys in drafting correspondence and legal documents as needed.<br>• Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries for ongoing cases.<br>• Provide administrative support to the legal team to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a legal secretary or assistant.<br>• Familiarity with personal injury law, particularly pre-litigation processes.<br>• Proficiency in managing calendars and scheduling appointments.<br>• Knowledge of medical record handling and insurance procedures.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.<br>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.<br>• Experience with scanning and organizing legal documents.
