We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Webster, New York. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records while supporting key accounting operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review corporate tax filings to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Manage sales tax reporting and submission processes accurately and on time. • Handle journal entries to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies. • Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end and year-end closing activities. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. • Assist in audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries. • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with industry standards. • Support the implementation of accounting system updates or improvements as needed. • Provide guidance and expertise to resolve accounting-related challenges.

• Proven experience with corporate tax preparation and filing. • Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting. • Proficiency in managing corporate tax returns and related documentation. • Expertise in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools for efficient workflow. • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.
