Finance Manager
<p>Our trusted client is looking for a skilled Finance Manager Consultant for a long-term engagement. In this role, you will provide leadership and expertise in managing financial operations for a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. This is a long-term position that requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency across financial processes. The role is 100% onsite in Warren MI and will report directly to the CFO. </p><p><br></p><p>The day-to-day responsibilities include: </p><p><br></p><p>• Prepare detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with U.S. standards.</p><p>• Conduct thorough analyses of financial variances and operational performance to provide actionable insights.</p><p>• Develop annual budgets and oversee monthly forecasts to support strategic planning.</p><p>• Maintain the general ledger and subledgers, ensuring accurate account reconciliations and journal entries.</p><p>• Manage accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and accounts payable subledgers effectively.</p><p>• Handle regulatory reporting duties, such as sales tax filings and census reports, while supporting complex reporting tasks like property and income taxes.</p><p>• Lead cost accounting efforts and ensure the implementation and improvement of internal controls.</p><p>• Supervise physical inventory counts, including year-end and interim cycle counts.</p><p>• Provide decision support for business initiatives such as cost-benefit analyses, new business quotes, and lease versus buy decisions.</p><p>• Oversee treasury and banking activities, including disbursements and credit compliance.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: </p><p><br></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, with a preference for accounting.</p><p>• Master’s degree in business or finance is highly desirable.</p><p>• Proficiency in integrated accounting systems such as Plex or Epicor, with experience in system implementation or upgrades.</p><p>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.</p><p>• Familiarity with financial consolidation software like Hyperion or Onestream and modeling tools such as Workday Adaptive.</p><p>• Minimum of seven years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.</p><p>• Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.</p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support collaboration and reporting.</p>
