Our trusted client is looking for a skilled Finance Manager Consultant for a long-term engagement. In this role, you will provide leadership and expertise in managing financial operations for a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment. This is a long-term position that requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency across financial processes. The role is 100% onsite in Warren MI and will report directly to the CFO. The day-to-day responsibilities include: • Prepare detailed financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with U.S. standards.• Conduct thorough analyses of financial variances and operational performance to provide actionable insights.• Develop annual budgets and oversee monthly forecasts to support strategic planning.• Maintain the general ledger and subledgers, ensuring accurate account reconciliations and journal entries.• Manage accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets, and accounts payable subledgers effectively.• Handle regulatory reporting duties, such as sales tax filings and census reports, while supporting complex reporting tasks like property and income taxes.• Lead cost accounting efforts and ensure the implementation and improvement of internal controls.• Supervise physical inventory counts, including year-end and interim cycle counts.• Provide decision support for business initiatives such as cost-benefit analyses, new business quotes, and lease versus buy decisions.• Oversee treasury and banking activities, including disbursements and credit compliance.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, with a preference for accounting.• Master’s degree in business or finance is highly desirable.• Proficiency in integrated accounting systems such as Plex or Epicor, with experience in system implementation or upgrades.• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.• Familiarity with financial consolidation software like Hyperion or Onestream and modeling tools such as Workday Adaptive.• Minimum of seven years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.• Strong organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support collaboration and reporting.
