Medical Billing Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Turnersville, New Jersey. This role requires someone with expertise in managing medical billing processes and accounts receivable, alongside a strong understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in medical billing and demonstrate proficiency in relevant technologies and processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and manage medical billing tasks efficiently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.<br>• Handle accounts receivable operations, including tracking and resolving billing discrepancies.<br>• Utilize EHR systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epaces to maintain accurate patient records.<br>• Administer claims and manage appeals to ensure timely and accurate reimbursements.<br>• Collaborate with insurance providers to verify benefits and resolve payment issues.<br>• Monitor and update billing functions to optimize workflows and ensure adherence to policies.<br>• Manage dynamic data exchange (DDE) processes for seamless communication between systems.<br>• Conduct audits and reviews to identify and rectify billing errors or inconsistencies.<br>• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient and provider inquiries related to billing.<br>• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable.<br>• Proficiency in using EHR systems, including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Epaces.<br>• Familiarity with dynamic data exchange (DDE) processes and billing technologies.<br>• Strong knowledge of claims administration, appeals, and benefit functions.<br>• Ability to analyze and resolve billing discrepancies effectively.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks.<br>• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance companies.<br>• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
