We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a collaborative manufacturing environment in Torrance, California. This Long-term Contract position will focus on improving manufacturing system performance, supporting application enhancements, and helping teams use system tools effectively across production and engineering functions. The role works closely with partners in production, design engineering, quality, and supply chain to strengthen data accuracy, streamline processes, and support reliable day-to-day operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain accurate system records and ensure manufacturing data is configured correctly for operational use.<br>• Assist with application enhancements and tailored system functionality that align with production and engineering requirements.<br>• Support connections between manufacturing platforms and related business systems, including enterprise and product lifecycle tools.<br>• Create and organize user guidance and training materials to improve adoption among engineering and manufacturing teams.<br>• Investigate system issues, resolve technical problems efficiently, and minimize disruption to manufacturing activities.<br>• Coordinate software testing, validation, and rollout activities to confirm new functions perform as expected before release.<br>• Contribute to structured change and release control practices for the manufacturing application and its connected systems.<br>• Identify system gaps and recommend practical solutions that improve usability, reliability, and process efficiency.<br>• Provide additional support for manufacturing process development and other advanced manufacturing initiatives as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with 3-4 years of experience in a complex manufacturing setting, or equivalent relevant background.<br>• Working knowledge of manufacturing workflows and documentation, with the ability to ensure system data is complete and accurate.<br>• Familiarity with database environments and data management concepts used in manufacturing applications.<br>• Exposure to programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, or R.<br>• Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and project coordination skills.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.<br>• Comfortable collaborating with teams across engineering, production, quality, and management.<br>• Experience with tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, Citrix, or Microsoft Exchange is beneficial.
