We are looking for a skilled and experienced Controller to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing accounting and government regulations. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage all aspects of daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. • Administer and maintain the company’s accounting system, such as MAS90 or similar platforms. • Prepare detailed budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making. • Implement and oversee internal controls to ensure compliance with manufacturing and government standards. • Conduct cost accounting analysis to optimize production and operational efficiency. • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations. • Perform month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation. • Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow to maintain organizational liquidity. • Present financial results and analyses directly to the President and ownership team. • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by offering data-driven financial perspectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturing and cost accounting. • Proficiency in accounting systems such as MAS90 or similar platforms. • Strong understanding of government compliance standards and regulations. • Proven ability to execute month-end and year-end financial closings. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with executive teams. • Experience preparing financial statements and conducting bank reconciliations.
