Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant Consultant for a long-term engagement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing complex reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of financial records. If you have a proven track record in accounting and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. This position is located in Ann Arbor, MI and will report directly to the Controller. The day-to-day responsibilities include: • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.• Manage month-end close processes, including preparing necessary journal entries.• Oversee general ledger activities to maintain accurate and organized financial records.• Conduct bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during financial reporting.• Provide support for audits by preparing and verifying necessary documentation.• Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.• Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems or processes as needed.• Maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles.• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries.• Proficiency in performing detailed account and bank reconciliations.• Familiarity with accounting software and tools; experience with Oracle is a plus.• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
