Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in South Hill, Washington. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial data and supporting various accounting functions.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.</p><p>• Handle sales tax filings and ensure timely reporting to authorities.</p><p>• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accuracy in financial accounts.</p><p>• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.</p><p>• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment scheduling.</p><p>• Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring prompt collections and accurate recordkeeping.</p><p>• Assist in preparing financial reports and analyzing data for decision-making purposes.</p><p>• Collaborate with external auditors and provide documentation as needed.</p><p>• Ensure all accounting activities align with company policies and standards.</p>
• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.<br>• Solid understanding of sales tax regulations and reporting processes.<br>• Proficiency in managing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.<br>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management skills.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external parties.<br>• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
