Accounts Receivable Clerk
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Signal Hill, California. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and maintaining strong communication with customers and branch managers. This position is crucial for ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable processes, resolving discrepancies, and supporting multiple branches within the company.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain open communication with customers to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Process and post customer payments, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, with accuracy.<br>• Utilize remote deposit scanner software for daily customer check deposits.<br>• Update and manage customer files, including changes to contact information or billing details.<br>• Monitor customer account changes and handle invoice rebilling using Billtrust.<br>• Prepare and organize accounts receivable documents such as copies and files for easy retrieval.<br>• Collaborate with the Collections Manager to research and resolve past-due accounts.<br>• Ensure accurate general ledger coding and conduct account reconciliations.<br>• Review aging reports regularly to identify and address outstanding balances.<br>• Perform additional duties related to accounts receivable as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze complex information.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related accounting software.<br>• Ability to efficiently process large volumes of customer transactions with accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with office equipment such as computers, 10-key calculators, and copiers.<br>• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.<br>• Detail-oriented demeanor and ability to interact confidently with customers and management.
