We are seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our team in Santa Rosa, California. This position is a Contract to permanent opportunity, offering the chance to contribute to critical financial operations, including maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and supporting audits. If you are a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for process improvement, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the general ledger and ensure timely completion of monthly reconciliations during the close process.<br>• Prepare funding requests and manage reporting for multiple government and private grants.<br>• Verify and direct ledger postings from various subsystems and external processing systems.<br>• Assess and refine cost allocation methodologies to ensure accuracy and appropriateness across programs.<br>• Lead or actively participate in cross-departmental projects, such as implementing new software systems.<br>• Identify opportunities for enhancements in financial processes and systems, implementing changes as needed.<br>• Foster a collaborative work environment, mentoring team members to support growth and development.<br>• Assist with audits and prepare documentation for organizational tax filings.<br>• Undertake additional accounting and financial responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to sit or stand at a computer workstation for extended periods, with or without accommodations.<br>• Proficient typing skills, with a minimum speed of 45 words per minute.<br>• Self-motivated individual capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.<br>• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information.<br>• Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.<br>• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, Excel, and other Office applications.<br>• Willingness to train and mentor colleagues, fostering skill development within the team.<br>• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret and apply instructions in various forms.
