Mailroom Assistant
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling and processing of incoming and outgoing mail. This role requires autonomy, precision, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Receive, open, and sort incoming mail to ensure proper categorization and prioritization of documents.<br>• Scan physical documents into digital systems with high accuracy to facilitate seamless data retrieval.<br>• Print and label necessary documents, adhering to organizational standards.<br>• Prepare outgoing mail for delivery, ensuring timely and secure processing.<br>• Maintain and operate mailroom equipment, including scanners and printers, to support daily operations.<br>• Organize and manage the flow of mail within the office to support efficient communication.<br>• Independently handle mail-related tasks, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.<br>• Assist with special mail-related projects as needed, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Previous experience in mailroom operations or a similar role.<br>• Proficiency in operating mailroom equipment, such as scanners and printers.<br>• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.<br>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br>• Capability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.<br>• Familiarity with Mac (iOS) and Google Workspace tools is a plus.<br>• Willingness to support operations during evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
