Inventory Analyst
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Analyst to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This contract position involves maintaining accurate inventory levels, forecasting demand, and supporting supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and excel in collaboration with various departments to optimize inventory processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure stock availability across multiple warehouses and distribution centers.<br>• Analyze inventory performance to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to prevent overstock or shortages.<br>• Organize and oversee periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Collaborate with sales, production, and supply chain teams to develop precise demand forecasts based on historical data.<br>• Utilize forecasting tools to predict future inventory needs for diverse product categories.<br>• Generate detailed reports on inventory metrics, such as turnover rates and shrinkage, to support management decisions.<br>• Coordinate with procurement teams to optimize re-order points, vendor lead times, and delivery schedules.<br>• Work alongside marketing and product teams to align inventory levels with promotional events and corporate objectives.<br>• Maintain and enhance inventory management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools to ensure data accuracy and alignment.<br>• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to streamline inventory processes and data sharing efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.<br>• Familiarity with inventory management systems and demand planning software.<br>• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and provide actionable insights.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate across teams.<br>• 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics.<br>• Ability to organize and execute inventory audits with precision.<br>• Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate inventory records and reports.
