Accounting Manager/Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize financial operations within our organization. This role involves managing accounting functions for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with reporting standards, and driving efficiency in financial processes. Based in Romeoville, Illinois, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a meticulous leader to contribute to a dynamic and mission-driven team.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.<br>• Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.<br>• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable standards and organizational policies.<br>• Coordinate and support audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to auditors.<br>• Reconcile accounts and ensure all journal entries are properly recorded.<br>• Administer accounting systems and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.<br>• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering growth and collaboration.<br>• Handle accounting for multiple entities, maintaining consistency and accuracy across all financial records.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports.<br>• Collaborate with the Finance Division on strategic initiatives to support organizational goals.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.<br>• Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.<br>• Strong ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and support audits.<br>• Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.<br>• Familiarity with non-profit accounting and managing finances for multiple entities.<br>• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and mentor accounting staff.<br>• Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
