We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Rochester Hills, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a passion for ensuring accuracy in financial records. Responsibilities: • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. • Manage and reconcile credit card transactions and associated fees across various platforms. • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to maintain smooth financial operations. • Prepare and record journal entries to ensure proper documentation of financial transactions. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Collaborate with team members to support financial reporting and analysis needs. • Assist in corporate tax and sales tax preparations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. • Utilize QuickBooks Online and potentially transition to QuickBooks Enterprise as the organization grows. • Provide support for food and beverage financial management in collaboration with company clients across multiple states.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in bank reconciliations and general accounting. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus. • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. • Experience with corporate tax returns and sales tax is highly desirable. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate financial information clearly. • Familiarity with the food and beverage industry is a bonus.
