Senior Property Accountant
<p>Exceptional opportunity for Richmond based real estate company! We are looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records for our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Maintain and reconcile property bank accounts, promptly addressing and resolving any discrepancies.</p><p>• Perform detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including asset capitalization and discrepancy resolution.</p><p>• Prepare and review mortgage reconciliations, including escrow accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving variances.</p><p>• Validate monthly management fee calculations and obtain necessary approvals.</p><p>• Create and post journal entries such as reclassifications, depreciation, amortization, and accruals.</p><p>• Generate comprehensive property financial reporting packages and other essential financial data.</p><p>• Conduct analysis of account information and provide insights on trends.</p><p>• Support the annual budget preparation process and assist with year-end audits and tax requirements.</p><p>• Participate in special projects and provide support as needed.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the real estate sector.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software, with Yardi experience highly preferred.<br>• Strong analytical and research skills to identify and resolve financial issues.<br>• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe products.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Highly organized and adaptable, with a strong willingness to learn.<br>• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
