<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p> Robert Half is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm on a <strong>contract-to-hire</strong> basis. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong public accounting foundation who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and continuing to grow toward a long-term leadership or partnership track.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform audit fieldwork, including risk assessment, internal control testing, and audit documentation</li><li>Prepare and review individual and business tax returns</li><li>Assist with audit planning, execution, and wrap-up activities</li><li>Support clients with accounting, reporting, and compliance needs</li><li>Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and accuracy</li><li>Collaborate with firm leadership and contribute to process improvement initiatives</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>3 years of public accounting experience</strong></li><li>At least <strong>2 years of audit experience</strong>, including fieldwork, risk assessment, and internal control testing</li><li>Experience preparing <strong>individual and business tax returns</strong></li><li><strong>CPA license obtained or actively pursuing</strong></li><li><strong>Minimum 2 years tenure at each prior role</strong></li><li><strong>3.7 GPA or higher</strong> for candidates with fewer than 3 years of experience</li><li>Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred / Ideal Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with <strong>QuickBooks Online</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Thomson Reuters Engagement Manager and Guided Assurance</strong></li><li>Experience using <strong>Intuit ProConnect Tax</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Ideal Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Growth-minded and motivated to advance within a public accounting environment</li><li>Strong independent learner who adapts quickly to new clients and responsibilities</li><li>Interested in long-term career development with potential to grow into a <strong>partnership-track role</strong></li></ul>
