Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a Contract basis in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting leadership with valuable financial insights. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the transport industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Record and analyze revenue for the flight division, leveraging advanced Excel skills to manage large data sets.<br>• Prepare and post accurate accounting entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.<br>• Provide financial analysis to assist leadership in understanding revenue implications and making informed decisions.<br>• Collaborate with the Controller and accounting team to prepare for board meetings and deliver key financial updates.<br>• Execute daily and monthly accounting tasks with precision to ensure all deadlines are met.<br>• Reconcile accounts and perform bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.<br>• Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and company policies.
• Proven expertise in month-end close processes and procedures.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.<br>• Hands-on experience with account and bank reconciliations.<br>• Proficiency in revenue recognition principles and practices.<br>• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with and analyze large datasets.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
