Human Resources (HR) Manager
<p>We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Portage, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee key HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, and partnering with staffing agencies to support workforce needs. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of HR processes and systems.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees.</p><p>• Collaborate with staffing agencies to recruit and place contract employees, particularly for third-shift positions.</p><p>• Provide guidance and support for employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment.</p><p>• Utilize proprietary HR systems effectively and provide training to ensure proper usage.</p><p>• Maintain compliance with company policies and employment regulations.</p><p>• Develop strategies to enhance workforce engagement and productivity.</p><p>• Monitor staffing levels and recommend adjustments to meet operational needs.</p><p>• Support leadership in implementing HR initiatives and programs.</p><p>• Prepare reports and documentation related to HR activities and performance metrics.</p>
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management.<br>• Proficiency in HR administration and employee relations.<br>• Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).<br>• Strong track record in onboarding processes and workforce management.<br>• Ability to collaborate effectively with staffing agencies and external partners.<br>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.<br>• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.<br>• Experience working in the printing or publishing industry is a plus.
