Accounting Manager/Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Portage, Michigan. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to the organization's growth. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for leading teams to achieve operational excellence.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted on time.<br>• Oversee the general ledger activities, maintaining precise records and supporting financial reporting.<br>• Conduct and coordinate financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.<br>• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial records.<br>• Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate accounting practices.<br>• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration within the department.<br>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in financial operations.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.<br>• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.<br>• Analyze financial data and generate reports to assist in strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Proven experience in accounting management or supervisory roles, particularly in manufacturing.<br>• Expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance standards.<br>• Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.<br>• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.<br>• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
