Property Staff Accountant
<p>Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage accounting operations for multiple rental property LLCs. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Yardi property management software and have a strong background handling both property accounting and quasi property management tasks for a portfolio of 15–20 real estate properties.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee all accounting duties for multiple rental property LLCs, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. </li><li>Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for 15–20 rental properties. Duties include general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and managing common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations.</li><li>Utilize Yardi software daily for posting transactions, managing tenant ledgers, and processing payables/receivables.</li><li>Track rent collections, security deposits, and tenant charges; follow up on delinquencies.</li><li>Complete CAM calculations, billing, and reconciliations as required.</li><li>Liaise with property managers and ownership to ensure accurate financial records and timely payments to vendors and contractors.</li><li>Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial packages for ownership review.</li><li>Provide support with lease administration and help address tenant inquiries.</li><li>Maintain organized records and documentation to support annual audits and tax preparation.</li></ul><p>Ready to find your next great role? <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in a property management or real estate setting.</li><li>Strong proficiency using Yardi property management/accounting software is a must.</li><li>Working knowledge of accounting principles related to property/real estate operations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage A/P and A/R for multiple entities simultaneously.</li><li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Experience with CAM reconciliations and property cost allocations preferred.</li><li>High proficiency in Excel and general ledger software.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred but not required.</li></ul><p><br></p>
