As a Collections Specialist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:• Manage recovery queues and accurately input data into company systems. • Conduct outbound and inbound recovery calls to address delinquent accounts and provide effective resolutions. • Resolve late-stage delinquencies while adhering to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and maintaining professionalism. • Evaluate financial data to determine appropriate recovery actions. • Perform research and skip tracing to support legal or recovery actions as necessary. • Monitor accounts and inventory to identify recovery opportunities, analyze portfolio trends, and deliver forecasts to management. • Handle post-charge off accounts, including settlements related to bankruptcy, litigation, or other matters, exercising discretion within company policies. • Collaborate with outside counsel to manage portfolios, initiate civil matters, and oversee judgment domestication. • Support accounts receivable processes, including payment application and reconciliation. • Assist in drafting and implementing departmental policies and procedures while identifying workflow improvements.
