We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a long-term contract role within the logistics industry, offering the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial operations and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of accounting principles and a proven ability to manage complex financial processes with precision. Responsibilities:• Oversee month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.• Prepare and post journal entries with a high level of attention to detail.• Conduct account reconciliations to verify the integrity of the financial data.• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.• Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.• Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making processes.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities.• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors as needed.• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial systems and processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Extensive experience with month-end close procedures and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and best practices. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • High level of proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
