Development and Communications Specialist
<p>We are looking for a skilled Development and Communications Specialist to join our nonprofit client, 40hr/wk, remote with some travel within East Bay. In this role, you will craft impactful messaging, manage internal and external communications, and contribute to the development of strategic communication plans. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving clear and effective communication across various platforms.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>General nonprofit marketing/communications needs</li><li>Creating and building emails </li><li>Take photos at events around the park district, or attend meetings</li><li>Grant making communications- take impact numbers and created newsletters, fundraising emails, social media</li><li>Board member meeting scheduling and helping with in person and virtual events</li><li>Write resolutions for board meetings </li><li>Content creation (looking at website, weekly meeting minutes, repurpose annual magazine content)</li><li>Participate in rebranding efforts </li><li>Administrative tasks like calendaring, scheduling for communications/marketing efforts</li></ul>
<ul><li>IDEALLY: <strong>Blackbaud / Raiser's Edge</strong> experience </li><li>Nonprofit data base experience at the very least is required</li><li>Experience building emails and managing campaigns </li><li>Digs in and takes initiative</li><li>Collaborative; Open to ideas, brainstorming new ways of doing things </li><li>Great communication </li><li>Resilient, flexible in ever changing space </li><li>Experience setting up Zoom meetings </li><li>Microsoft Office Suite </li><li>Asana (any PM tool)</li></ul><p> </p>
