We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in North Andover, Massachusetts area on a long-term contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic insights to support organizational goals. As a key contributor, you will collaborate across departments and mentor less experienced accounting staff while driving improvements in accounting processes. Responsibilities:• Manage and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.• Prepare consolidated financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, adhering to organizational formats.• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts and manage key schedules such as accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and amortization.• Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.• Support internal and external audits, tax filings, and compliance checks to maintain regulatory standards.• Refine accounting policies and document internal controls to improve operational efficiency and compliance.• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced accounting staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general ledger teams.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, Operations, and HR, to drive financial projects and enhance processes.• Handle revenue-related accounting tasks, including deferred revenue and revenue recognition, with precision.• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics and other tools to optimize financial workflows.

• Proven experience managing month-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.• Strong expertise in general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.• In-depth knowledge of revenue accounting, including deferred revenue and revenue recognition.• Proficiency in conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and other financial software tools.• Solid understanding of financial statement preparation, including P& L, balance sheets, and cash flows.• Ability to perform variance analysis and provide meaningful insights.• Experience mentoring and guiding staff who are beginning their careers within accounting teams.
