Accountant
<p>We are looking for an <strong>Accountant</strong> to join our team in Newark, California. The <strong>Accountant</strong> contract position offers an excellent opportunity to apply accounting principles and contribute to financial operations. The ideal <strong>Accountant</strong> will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Assists with monthly quarterly and annual period close process as assigned.</p><p>• Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts as assigned.</p><p>• Maintains various ledgers journals registers and other financial records.</p><p>• Prepares account reconciliations cost reports billings bank reconciliations and various other financial reports as assigned.</p><p>• Prepares federal state and other regulatory reports ensuring compliance with established guidelines as assigned.</p><p>• Prepares journal entries and supporting documentation for posting of approved financial transactions and/or journal entries into general ledger.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.<br>• Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and develop effective solutions.<br>• Proficiency in communicating complex accounting concepts in clear, simple terms.<br>• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing priorities.<br>• Knowledge of GAAP and federal, state, and local regulations related to accounting and reporting.<br>• Experience with financial software and computer systems relevant to accounting functions.<br>• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and maintain constructive relationships.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
