VP/Director of Finance
<p>I'm currently partnering with a high-growth professional services firm backed by a leading private equity group. With multiple recent transactions—and more on the horizon—the company is accelerating both organic and M& A growth.</p><p> </p><p>The CEO is now looking for their FIRST finance team member (Director of FP& A/maybe open to VP title based on experience) focused purely on building, scaling, and implementing the FP& A (Financial Planning & Analysis) function. This is not a Controllership role in disguise, nor is it M& A/due diligence (being handled by the PE team)—this is a hands-on FP& A function.</p><p> </p><p>Quick highlights:</p><ul><li>Report directly to the CEO, with dotted line to the PE firm's CFO </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally: stakeholder exposure at month-end and during reporting cycles </li><li>Partner with an established Controller and third-party accounting team—you’re driving FP& A, not closing the books</li></ul><p> </p><p>As always, this is a permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried position (this is NOT a temp role or temp to perm).</p><p> </p><p>The role will be 1x day onsite in NYC where the PE and one of the co-founders are located. The rest will be remote.</p><p> </p><p>The Director of FP& A (potentially will give a VP title based on experience).</p><p> </p><p>Compensation is based on experience, between $185k - $250k base + 25% discretionary bonus + equity</p><p> </p><p>The role will cover:</p><ul><li>Experience working with a PE firm, understands reporting, expectations etc.</li><li>Experience presenting to C Suite, PE and the Board</li><li>Experience building and scaling a FP& A function</li><li>Implementing best practices, controls, systems</li><li>Strong Financial Modeling and budgeting</li></ul><p> </p><p>Who are you?</p><ul><li>Experience with Private Equity sponsors and/or Intuitional Investors </li><li>A minimum of a BA/BS in Finance from a top accredited school</li><li>A MBA is highly desirable </li><li>5+ years of experience in a leadership role at the Director/VP level</li></ul><p> </p><p>Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial.
