We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support financial operations for a non-profit organization in New York, New York. This is a Contract position where you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of expense reimbursements, vendor payments, and other financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Process expense reimbursements and ensure compliance with organizational policies. • Handle payments to vendors, contractors, and employees, including payroll checks. • Review and process 120-150 invoices and bills on a regular basis. • Perform credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Enter and update journal entries in the accounting system. • Conduct check runs and ensure timely distribution of payments. • Verify invoice coding and ensure proper allocation of expenses. • Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.• Strong skills in coding invoices and ensuring proper expense allocation.• Proficiency in invoice processing and maintaining accurate records.• Experience with check runs and payment distribution.• Non-profit experience• Ability to handle credit card reconciliations effectively.• Solid understanding of journal entries and financial systems.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
