Office Manager
<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented <strong>Events Coordinator</strong> to join our team. This role is integral to planning and executing events, supporting office operations, and ensuring seamless transitions for colleagues within the workplace. As part of a small but dynamic team, you’ll wear multiple hats to create a positive environment for employees and clients with excellent customer service and a go-getter attitude.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Day-to-Day Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Organize and assist in setting up weekly events, including DIY elements and crafting decorations.</li><li>Coordinate post-event logistics, including supervising and escorting movers, and ensuring the space is ready for the next function.</li><li>Collaborate and maintain relationships with vendors to meet event and office needs efficiently.</li><li>Support workplace coordination tasks, such as onboarding/offboarding activities. Manage logistics for office moves and ensure new employees/resigned colleagues have appropriate equipment (e.g., monitor, chair, etc.) using a ticket system.</li><li>Work proactively in the mailroom on a daily basis for 2 hours handling incoming and outgoing mail before returning to other duties.</li><li>Assist with preventative maintenance (PM) tasks as part of ensuring seamless office operations.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Top Qualifications for Success:</strong></p><p>We are looking for candidates who possess:</p><ol><li><strong>Experience:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>1–2 years of experience in event planning, coordination, or similar roles.</li><li>Background interfacing with customers or clients through direct service roles.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Professional Skills:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>A self-starter who can work independently while being adaptable to change and unexpected challenges.</li><li>Strong collaboration skills with an ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, diverse environment.</li><li>A go-getter and flexible approach with utility mindset—ready to dive in and problem-solve.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Excellent communication to work with a range of individuals—from mailroom staff to executive leadership.</li><li>Dependability and punctuality—must adhere to the required schedule (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM).</li><li>Positive attitude, willingness to be trained, and eager to grow within a small-team setting.</li></ul><p><strong>Technology Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Comfort using workplace software or technology tools for task management (experience with ticket systems is a bonus).</li></ul><p>•<strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Culture:</strong> A diverse and inclusive environment that accommodates all—from janitorial staff to the C-suite team members. Healthy, collaborative workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork and professional development.</li><li><strong>Team Details:</strong> Weekly interaction with Christopher (virtual team member), Amy (onsite collaborator), and a small in-office group (less than 10 colleagues). The broader employee presence fluctuates with 100–150 individuals in the office on any given day, with Fridays being quieter.</li></ul>
