Sr. Corporate Tax Accountant
We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic financial services environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in corporate taxation, analytical thinking, and an attentive approach to delivering high-quality results.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.<br>• Conduct thorough analyses of tax-related issues and provide accurate interpretations to guide decision-making.<br>• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.<br>• Utilize advanced tax preparation software, such as UltraTax CS, to streamline and improve efficiency.<br>• Collaborate with team members to maintain accuracy in the general ledger and ensure proper documentation.<br>• Apply strong problem-solving skills to address complex tax scenarios and present effective solutions.<br>• Maintain clear and precise communication with clients and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.<br>• Leverage technology-based solutions to enhance the execution of assigned responsibilities.<br>• Prioritize and organize projects independently, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Adapt to evolving priorities while contributing to a supportive and dynamic team culture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting; JD preferred.<br>• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in high-net-worth individual trust and estate taxation.<br>• Strong proficiency in tax return preparation software, with experience in UltraTax CS preferred.<br>• Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.<br>• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.<br>• Strong interpersonal skills and a detail-oriented demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
