We are looking for an experienced Credit & Collections Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Minnetonka, Minnesota. In this role, you will oversee credit risk management, accounts receivable operations, and collections to ensure optimal cash flow and minimize financial risk. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams and external clients, offering an excellent opportunity to lead and make an impact in a manufacturing industry setting. Responsibilities:• Develop and enforce comprehensive credit policies to mitigate risk and reduce bad debt exposure.• Manage the accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment processing, cash application, aging analysis, and collections.• Evaluate customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits based on financial data and credit reports.• Lead, mentor, and organize the accounts receivable team, ensuring efficient workload distribution and opportunities for growth.• Oversee collection efforts, negotiating payment arrangements with clients in a thorough and attentive manner to achieve timely resolutions.• Analyze accounts receivable aging reports, recommending necessary write-offs and providing updates to leadership.• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance departments to address billing disputes and improve payment timelines.• Establish and monitor performance metrics related to credit risk, collections efficiency, and accounts receivable turnover.• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and relevant laws while maintaining accurate and detailed documentation.• Support month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial reports.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management and accounts receivable, preferably within a corporate environment. • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop team members. • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, financial statement evaluation, and collection strategies. • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with accounting systems, credit tools such as Dun & Bradstreet, and Office applications. • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail. • Familiarity with commercial credit and collections processes.
