Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong expertise in financial reconciliations and accounting processes. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting month-end close activities.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Perform detailed account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.</p><p>• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.</p><p>• Conduct bank reconciliations, monitoring transactions and resolving any inconsistencies.</p><p>• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Post journal entries and adjust entries as needed to align with financial objectives.</p><p>• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze and organize financial data.</p><p>• Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and audits.</p><p>• Apply knowledge of non-profit accounting practices to specific organizational requirements.</p><p>• Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</p>
• Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.<br>• Strong knowledge of balance sheet and bank reconciliation processes.<br>• Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation.<br>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.<br>• Solid understanding of month-end close procedures and timelines.<br>• Familiarity with non-profit accounting standards and practices.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to solve complex financial discrepancies.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
