We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Milford, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone who excels in financial reporting and reconciliation tasks. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization and work on key accounting projects. Responsibilities: • Prepare and manage journal entries to ensure accurate financial records. • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to maintain data integrity. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes with thorough documentation and reporting. • Maintain and update the general ledger with a focus on accuracy and completeness. • Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Oversee sales tax reporting and submission in accordance with state and local laws. • Assist with special accounting projects as assigned by management. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to uphold compliance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting procedures.

• Proven experience in corporate tax and sales tax management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts. • Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes. • Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate reconciliations. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools to ensure efficiency. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
