Paralegal
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our team in Miami, Florida. This Contract to permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to support both legal and administrative functions in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in managing multiple responsibilities effectively.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and file legal documents electronically, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.<br>• Draft demand letters, legal correspondence, and other essential documents as needed.<br>• Maintain and update calendars, including scheduling hearings, deadlines, and meetings to ensure smooth case management.<br>• Oversee billing processes and ensure timely tracking and submission of relevant documentation.<br>• Manage office administrative tasks such as inventory control, coordinating IT support for new team members, and organizing virtual meetings.<br>• Review sales documents for accounting purposes and verify accuracy.<br>• Provide occasional client hospitality, such as offering refreshments, to foster a welcoming office environment.<br>• Collaborate with attorneys on commercial litigation cases, leveraging prior experience in this area to contribute effectively.<br>• Adapt to evolving responsibilities and occasionally extend work hours to meet deadlines when necessary.
• Proven experience in commercial litigation and familiarity with legal procedures.<br>• Proficiency with e-filing systems and drafting legal documents.<br>• Strong calendaring skills, especially with tools such as ProLaw.<br>• Knowledge of case management software and ability to learn new systems quickly.<br>• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.<br>• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.<br>• Ability to manage administrative tasks alongside legal responsibilities.<br>• Flexibility to adjust to changing workloads and occasional extended hours.
