Corporate Tax Staff Accountant
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Corporate Tax Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will handle tax preparation and compliance for corporate and partnership entities, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. This position is ideal for a collaborative individual with strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and file corporate, S-corporation, and partnership tax returns using Lacerte Tax Software.<br>• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in tax filings.<br>• Analyze financial statements and accounting records to ensure accuracy in tax reporting.<br>• Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency for organizations.<br>• Conduct thorough tax research to stay informed about changes in tax laws and their implications.<br>• Collaborate with clients, auditors, and tax authorities to address inquiries and manage audits or notices.<br>• Maintain organized and secure client tax records in line with company standards.<br>• Provide support and mentorship to entry-level team members when required.<br>• Identify opportunities for tax savings and implement strategies that minimize liabilities.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tax software and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate and partnership tax preparation.<br>• Expertise in Lacerte Tax Software is required.<br>• Strong knowledge of corporate tax adjustments, partnership allocations, and multi-state filings.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex tax scenarios.<br>• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.<br>• Ability to meet tight deadlines during tax season and adapt to changing priorities.
