We are looking for a skilled and experienced interim Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in McKinney, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who excels in leadership and operational accounting. This is a 3-4 month contract position to cover for a leave of absence. Hybrid work schedule: in office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday in McKinney, TX. Interim Controller (contract position):Responsibilities:• Manage all aspects of the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports.• Supervise the processing of invoices and payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness.• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of three, including one senior accountant and two clerical staff.• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company accounting standards.• Collaborate with company leadership on special accounting projects and initiatives.• Monitor and optimize department workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.• Maintain responsibility for compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.• Utilize NetSuite and Ceridian payroll systems to streamline accounting processes.• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues within the department.• Develop and implement strategies to improve financial operations and team performance.

• Proven track record of success in a Controller or Assistant Controller role. • Hands-on experience with month-end close processes, payroll, and invoicing. • Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software is preferred. • Familiarity with Ceridian payroll systems is highly advantageous. • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively. • Strong communication and organizational skills. • Expertise in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
