Operations Manager
We are looking for a skilled Operations Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will oversee critical operational functions, ensuring the seamless execution of securities settlement, account performance monitoring, and reconciliation processes. This position requires someone with strong attention to detail, extensive experience in operations management, and a solid understanding of financial instruments.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage the settlement of securities and ensure timely and accurate processing.<br>• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of cash and positions across client accounts.<br>• Monitor cash availability, security positions, and portfolio performance against benchmark returns.<br>• Provide detailed cash forecasts and availability reports to Portfolio Management.<br>• Investigate and resolve issues related to unconfirmed trades, trade breaks, failed trades, and corporate actions.<br>• Supervise the monitoring of FX forwards and leverage within portfolios for effective cash management.<br>• Review and confirm bank loan transactions, including trade bookings, confirmations, and funding memos.<br>• Ensure accurate monthly account closing by reconciling market values, performance metrics, security positions, and cash.<br>• Produce monthly performance reports and provide data for marketing and client services.<br>• Collaborate with various departments, including Compliance, Trading, Client Services, and Accounting, to ensure operational efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.<br>• At least 10 years of experience in operations management.<br>• Comprehensive knowledge of equity, FX, corporate bonds, and loans.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.<br>• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.<br>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg.<br>• Familiarity with systems such as ClearPar, Markit, and other financial tools is preferred.
