Litigation Legal Secretary
<p>We are looking for an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join a dynamic defense firm in Los Angeles, California. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to trial preparation and litigation support in a fast-paced environment. The role requires proficiency in managing court filings, calendaring, and e-filing tasks.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and submit electronic filings in state court, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.</p><p>• Manage and maintain the firm's litigation calendar using Clio, coordinating deadlines and schedules.</p><p>• Provide comprehensive support for trial preparation, including document organization and case management.</p><p>• Collaborate with attorneys to draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents.</p><p>• Handle dictation tasks and transcribe legal correspondence with precision.</p><p>• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.</p><p>• Communicate professionally with court officials, clients, and external parties as needed.</p><p>• Coordinate transportation allowances or parking arrangements for staff.</p><p>• Assist in other administrative duties to support the legal team efficiently.</p>
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in a litigation or defense firm.<br>• Proficiency in e-filing and managing court submissions.<br>• Strong skills in calendar management and familiarity with Clio software.<br>• Experience in trial preparation and supporting legal proceedings.<br>• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.<br>• Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.<br>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
