Discovery Paralegal/Clerk
We are looking for a motivated Discovery Paralegal/Clerk to join a leading plaintiff trial firm in Los Angeles, California. This contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience while working closely with experienced attorneys and legal team members. The role is fully on-site, providing an excellent environment for mentorship and detail oriented growth.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft briefs, pleadings, and discovery documents based on provided templates.<br>• Assist with legal filings in compliance with court requirements and deadlines.<br>• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.<br>• Prepare for trials by organizing materials, exhibits, and case documents.<br>• Collaborate with senior associates to gain valuable mentorship and training.<br>• Maintain a sense of urgency and attention to detail in all tasks.<br>• Support the team with administrative tasks related to case management.<br>• Participate in client meetings and case discussions to understand legal objectives.<br>• Ensure all documentation is accurate and meets firm standards.
• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal education.<br>• Experience in drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.<br>• Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with civil litigation processes.<br>• Strong knowledge of plaintiff-side litigation practices.<br>• Previous experience in law school clubs, internships, or community outreach is highly valued.<br>• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.<br>• A proactive approach to learning and continuous development.<br>• Availability to work 40 hours per week onsite, Monday through Friday.
