Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will collaborate with internal teams to manage accounting processes efficiently and contribute to the organization’s financial reporting.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.<br>• Manage sales tax reporting and filings across multiple jurisdictions.<br>• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain the accuracy of financial transactions.<br>• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring timely and precise bookkeeping.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.<br>• Provide support during audits by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.<br>• Assist in analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.<br>• Ensure timely submission of tax-related filings and payments.<br>• Monitor changes in tax regulations and implement necessary updates to accounting practices.
• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.<br>• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and reporting requirements.<br>• Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.<br>• Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
