Senior Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Leawood, Kansas. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.<br>• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect all financial transactions.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting.<br>• Reconcile accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial records.<br>• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Collaborate with other teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.<br>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.<br>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.<br>• Prepare financial reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven experience in accounting, specifically in month-end close processes.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger and journal entries.<br>• Proficiency in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.<br>• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
