Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This is a long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to work closely with a dedicated team to improve financial processes and ensure operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting practices and a collaborative attitude to support month-end activities, reconciliations, and other critical financial tasks.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger.<br>• Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to maintain financial integrity.<br>• Assist with payroll processing and cash management to support organizational needs.<br>• Oversee cost accounting and inventory management processes to ensure accurate reporting.<br>• Collaborate with the team to document and refine accounting processes for improved efficiency.<br>• Provide support during transitions and contribute to cleaning up existing reconciliations.<br>• Utilize Blackline software for reconciliation tasks and ensure compliance with financial standards.<br>• Work onsite 3-4 days a week initially, supporting month-end activities and transitioning to a flexible schedule as needed.<br>• Partner with the Controller, Financial Analyst, and other team members to address accounting challenges and streamline operations.<br>• Contribute to building a stable and effective accounting team by addressing issues caused by previous turnover.
• Proven experience in month-end close processes, including journal entries and general ledger management.<br>• Strong skills in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation.<br>• Familiarity with payroll processing and cash management practices.<br>• Knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management principles.<br>• Proficiency in using Blackline software for reconciliations.<br>• Ability to work onsite 3-4 days per week during initial onboarding and month-end periods.<br>• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to support process improvement.<br>• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
