Controller
<p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage financial operations within our client's manufacturing company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting, budgeting, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning and performance.</p><p>• Prepare detailed financial statements in compliance with industry standards.</p><p>• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff, fostering growth and collaboration.</p><p>• Act as the primary liaison during audits, ensuring compliance and efficient communication.</p><p>• Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost accounting practices to optimize operations.</p><p>• Oversee inventory management processes to maintain accuracy and control.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives.</p><p>• Identify opportunities for process improvements within financial operations and reporting.</p>
<p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.</p><p>• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in the manufacturing industry </p><p>• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams effectively.</p><p>• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.</p><p>• Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and month-end close processes.</p><p>• Excellent communication and organizational skills.</p><p>• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.</p><p><br></p><p>For confidential consideration, apply today or contact Tracy Sperry at Robert Half for more information. </p><p><br></p>
