Fam Law Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Lake Bluff, Illinois. This role involves providing essential legal support in family law matters, ensuring case files are managed effectively, and assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials. If you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and have expertise in discovery and trial preparation, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements, with accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and provide insights.<br>• Organize and manage discovery materials, ensuring timely and efficient handling.<br>• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.<br>• Maintain and update case files to ensure all documents are accessible and well-organized.<br>• File legal documents electronically using e-filing systems.<br>• Utilize case management software, such as SmokeBall, to streamline workflows and maintain case information.
• Proven experience in family law, including handling cases involving discovery and litigation.<br>• Strong skills in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.<br>• Proficiency in trial preparation, including organizing evidence and coordinating logistics.<br>• Familiarity with civil litigation processes and procedures.<br>• Experience using case management software, such as SmokeBall.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.<br>• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
