We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Ladson, South Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting functions and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Manage sales tax filings and address any related issues or discrepancies. • Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented. • Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and financial reporting requirements. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance. • Provide support for special projects and initiatives as assigned.

• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance. • Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and processes. • Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger functions. • Familiarity with corporate tax returns and related documentation. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
