Staff Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Ladson, South Carolina. This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting functions and ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Manage sales tax filings and address any related issues or discrepancies.<br>• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and financial reporting requirements.<br>• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.<br>• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.<br>• Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.<br>• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance.<br>• Provide support for special projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.<br>• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and processes.<br>• Proficiency in managing journal entries and general ledger functions.<br>• Familiarity with corporate tax returns and related documentation.<br>• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.<br>• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.<br>• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
