We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Kent, Washington. This position involves overseeing a team of three while addressing operational challenges and implementing effective solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, exceptional accounting expertise, and the ability to assess and improve processes efficiently. Responsibilities: • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of three accounting staff members. • Evaluate existing processes and identify areas requiring improvement within the accounts payable function. • Collaborate with management to address operational challenges and ensure smooth workflow. • Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Manage general ledger tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries. • Support financial statement audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. • Conduct thorough account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance. • Monitor cash balances and perform detailed cash flow analysis to ensure proper financial management. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures. • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to team members to enhance performance.

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with prior leadership responsibilities. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and account reconciliation. • Expertise in handling accounts payable and cash flow analysis. • Solid understanding of journal entries and cash balance monitoring. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve operational issues. • Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage and guide a team. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
