We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a Contract to permanent position suited for a meticulous individual who excels in financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial standards.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.<br>• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.<br>• Coordinate and oversee financial statement audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.<br>• Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.<br>• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.<br>• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.<br>• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.<br>• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering their growth and development.

• Proven experience in accounting management, including month-end close processes.<br>• Strong expertise in general ledger management and financial reporting.<br>• Familiarity with financial statement audit procedures and requirements.<br>• Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.<br>• Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.<br>• Strong communication and leadership abilities.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational goals.
