We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client in Jersey City, New Jersey. Ideal candidate will be out of a Consumer Products company. This role is ideal for a driven individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for managing financial operations and contributing to organizational growth. The successful candidate will oversee key accounting functions while demonstrating expertise in financial reporting and reconciliation. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.• Conduct financial statement audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed.• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.• Prepare and review journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.• Analyze profit and loss statements, providing insights into financial performance.• Coordinate with e-commerce and retail partners to ensure accurate financial tracking.• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency within the accounting function.• Mentor and guide entry-level accounting staff, fostering skill development.• Collaborate across departments to support organizational goals.

• Proven experience in accounting, with a strong background in month-end close and general ledger management.• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.• Familiarity with financial statement audits and working with external auditors.• Demonstrated ability to analyze profit and loss statements and provide actionable insights.• Experience in CPG or retail accounting is highly desirable.• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.• Leadership skills and a proactive approach to mentoring less experienced staff.
