Accounting Manager
<p>We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial activities of Greenwich, Connecticut. This is a contract position that involves managing various accounting and human resources functions to ensure the smooth operation of the Trustees Office. The role requires a strong background in financial management, reporting, and compliance, as well as excellent organizational skills.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee and manage the budgeting process for the Office, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability.</p><p>• Review and process invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.</p><p>• Serve as the primary liaison with auditors and financial service providers, providing necessary documentation and information.</p><p>• Prepare and maintain financial reports, including budget sheets, monthly statements, and year-end closing documents.</p><p>• Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of payroll records, including processing payroll for Trustee Office employees.</p><p>• Handle the preparation and submission of financial forms such as 1099 and 1096, and ensure proper documentation from vendors, including W-9 forms.</p><p>• Address financial inquiries and issues, escalating matters to the Board of Trustees or Director when necessary.</p><p>• Manage benefits administration and hiring documentation for Trustee Office employees.</p><p>• Collaborate with Friends groups and other auxiliary organizations on financial matters</p>
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, including budgeting, reconciliation, and reporting.<br>• Proven ability to create and manage financial documents with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, as well as financial software like QuickBooks.<br>• Demonstrated experience working with external organizations, such as auditors and financial service providers.<br>• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.<br>• At least four years of experience in accounting management or a related role.<br>• Expertise in general ledger management, account reconciliation, and journal entry preparation.<br>• Ability to handle high-volume invoicing with accuracy and efficiency.
